Steve Littlewood – My World of Digital Photography
March 9 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Photography has been a passion ever since I bought my first camera in 1972. I was immediately captivated both by the images I could create and by the technology now at my disposal. Photography has been at the heart of a life’s adventure. It’s been used to capture family memories, holidays, expeditions and has been the driving force behind many diverging interests and experimentation.
I’ve thoroughly embraced the digital photo revolution and see it as a really positive evolution of the discipline. Certainly it’s allowed my photography to improve and has opened up incredible opportunities for digital presentation, printing and publishing, and for doing work that would previously have required an army of specialist to carry out.
Throughout my nomadic RAF career (now retired), I’ve been an active member of many camera clubs, and seen them as a hub of knowledge, inspiration, motivation and friendship. The digital revolution has also inspired a whole new generation of people to take up photography and join our camera club culture.
I can’t think of a more exciting time to enjoy this fascinating hobby.
