Message from President Tuesday 18th Sept.
You will remember that we are organising a trip to The Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Heritage Railway on Sunday 1st October. Visit web site for full details and timetables https://www.gwsr.com/ I have picked this date as there should be two steam locomotives in action together with a dirty diesel.

Transport will be by car with as much car sharing as possible, of course sharing fuel costs etc with the driver.

The plan is to meet up at Toddington Station GL54 5DT the first train leaves at 10am but there are plenty more. Travelling time from Cardiff is approximately 1hr 30min. My thoughts are to have a coffee and a look around, catching the next one if you want to travel.

Ticket prices for a Day Rover are £17 Adult £16 Senior, single tickets are available. If you buy on line you can get a few pence off.

So far the following have put their names down, and in an effort to have some form of organisation I have put their names next to those who have offered to drive.
If you now want to come along please contact me asap and we can try and organise transport. Likewise if you can’t make it please let me know.

Steve Willcocks (Driving)

Club Night: A good friend of CCC pays a return visit for our meeting on the 21st September. Dave Lingham FRPS will present his talk entitled A Retrospective Evening. For those of you new to the club, Dave continues to work with film. Lots to be learnt.

Committee Nominations:Don’t forget to get your nominations for committee to Vic asap using the forms sent out last week. Thanks to those who have already agreed to nomination, nominated themselves or are considering taking on a role, Amongst other roles the one proving most difficult to fill seems to be that of Treasurer. Some one out there must be able to count!

Club Expenses: This is mainly directed at committee members but applies to all Club Members. To assist the Treasurer the attached [an] expenses form must be completed and the receipts attached for any out of pocket expenses. The Treasurer will have hard copies of the form available for completion if you can not print them, yourself.

A Big Thankyou:
May i thank all those who have sent me images for inclusion on the website. The response has been very encouraging and demonstrates a wide range of photographic interests across the club. I have been particularly pleased to see newcomers take up this request and hope this will encourage you to use your images to enter more club competitions. Please keep them coming in so we can refresh the website from time to time.  Why not establish a little portfolio of say 10-15 images which can then be uploaded to a personal gallery?
